What are the Documented Symptoms of Symptomatic Macromastia according to CIGNA?
According to CIGNA coverage policy on breast reduction surgery. A patient must have all of the following documented symptoms that are unresponsive to medical management:
- Pain in the upper back, neck and shoulders or ulnar nerve palsy for which no other etiology has been found on appropriate evaluation
- Intertrigo, dermatitis, eczema or hidradenitis at the inframammary fold
