Let’s Get Started
What’s the First Step in Getting a Blepharoplasty for Men?
Before blepharoplasty, you may be asked to see an ophthalmologist to check your vision. Your provider may ask you to stop taking certain medications and supplements that could negatively impact your procedure or its recovery. If you smoke, you will need to quit for around four to six weeks prior and wait several weeks after surgery to resume; smoking can have a drastic effect on your body’s ability to heal. Lastly, you will need to arrange for a friend or family member to pick you up from surgery, as the procedure is performed under sedation anesthesia, leaving you groggy and unable to drive for several hours.
